BHB ketone salts
BHB Ketone Salts in Jellutide: How Much Is in a Gummy
BHB ketone salts in Jellutide are the second, smaller part of a 525 mg blend. The label hides the amount, but its calcium, magnesium and sodium lines cap the salts at about 27 mg per gummy, about 23 mg of BHB itself. Human studies used about 12 to 24 g per dose, so one gummy is unlikely to change blood ketones.

How much BHB is in a Jellutide gummy?
A Jellutide gummy holds at most about 27 mg of BHB salts, or about 23 mg of BHB itself. The label does not print that number. The mineral lines let us work it out.
BHB salts carry minerals. The panel lists 1 mg of calcium, 0.75 mg of magnesium and 2.5 mg of sodium per gummy. No more salt can be present than those minerals allow.
Calcium BHB
1 mg of calcium allows at most about 6.1 mg.
Magnesium BHB
0.75 mg of magnesium allows at most about 7.1 mg.
Sodium BHB
2.5 mg of sodium allows at most about 13.7 mg.
Add them: 6.1 + 7.1 + 13.7 is about 27 mg. Sodium citrate adds sodium too, so the true figure is lower.
The basics02
What are BHB salts?
BHB salts are beta-hydroxybutyrate, a ketone body, bound to a mineral such as calcium, magnesium or sodium.
Taken as a supplement, they are called exogenous ketones. In one study, the salt drinks were about half L-BHB, while a ketone ester was almost all D-BHB (Stubbs 2017, Front Physiol).
On the Jellutide label they appear as "BHB Calcium/Magnesium/Sodium (B-hydroxybutyrate salts)", second in the blend.
Profile03
What does the Jellutide label say about BHB salts?
The label lists BHB salts after apple cider vinegar, with no amount. It also prints the three minerals the salts bring in.
Both lines are profiled below.
| Name on the label | BHB Calcium/Magnesium/Sodium (B-hydroxybutyrate salts) |
|---|---|
| What it is | Ketone body bound to calcium, magnesium and sodium |
| Where on the label | 2nd of 2 parts in the 525 mg proprietary blend |
| Amount per gummy | At most about 27 mg per gummy (about 23 mg of BHB), from the calcium, magnesium and sodium lines |
| Amount used in research | Grams per dose in human studies (see the BHB page) |
| Strength of evidence | Raises blood ketones briefly at gram doses; no weight-loss proof |
| Marketed or traditional use | Sold as 'keto' support |
| Main caution | Gram doses can upset the stomach and add sodium; one gummy holds only milligrams. |
| Name on the label | Sodium 2.5 mg, Calcium 1 mg, Magnesium 0.75 mg |
|---|---|
| What it is | Minerals, mostly from the BHB salts and sodium citrate |
| Where on the label | Nutrition lines and other ingredients |
| Amount per gummy | 2.5 mg, 1 mg and 0.75 mg (0% DV each) |
| Amount used in research | Not studied at these amounts |
| Strength of evidence | Too small to matter for most people |
| Marketed or traditional use | Carried in with the BHB salts |
| Main caution | None specific at this amount |
Dose vs research04
How does the BHB in Jellutide compare with ketone studies?
It is a tiny fraction. Human studies gave about 12 or 24 g of BHB as salts in one drink (Stubbs 2017, Front Physiol). One gummy holds at most about 23 mg of BHB, so the low study dose of 12 g of BHB is more than 500 times larger.
Even those gram doses raised blood ketones only modestly. Peak D-BHB reached about 1.0 mM after the salt drink, against 2.8 mM after a ketone ester (Stubbs 2017, Front Physiol).
| Source | BHB per dose | What happened |
|---|---|---|
| One Jellutide gummy | About 23 mg at most (estimate) | Not studied |
| Ketone salt drinks (Stubbs 2017, Front Physiol) | About 12 or 24 g | Blood ketones rose briefly and modestly |
| BHB salt, 0.5 g per kg (Fischer 2018, BHB salt study) | 0.5 g per kg of body weight | Slow, moderate rise; stomach upset |
Evidence05
Do BHB salts help with weight loss?
No study shows that they do. A meta-analysis of 43 trials found a single dose of exogenous ketones lowered blood glucose a little, but evidence on long-term use, including body weight, was limited (Falkenhain 2022, Adv Nutr).
Ketone monoesters had significantly larger effects than ketone salts (Falkenhain 2022, Adv Nutr).
The sales page uses that phrase (Jellutide sales page). No supplement has shown it. Ketone salts raise blood ketones briefly and modestly at gram doses (Stubbs 2017, Front Physiol), and that is all the research supports.

Will one Jellutide gummy put you in ketosis?
Almost surely not. Even about 12 g of BHB as salts raised blood BHB only modestly, to a peak near 1.0 mM (Stubbs 2017, Front Physiol).
A gummy with about 23 mg of BHB adds very little. It also brings 2 g of carbohydrate from its sugar base. If you follow a keto diet, count that.
The sugar and carbs are covered on the gummy base page.
Safety07
Are BHB salts safe?
At milligram amounts, BHB salts are unlikely to cause problems for healthy adults. At gram doses, they can upset the stomach and shift blood minerals.
In a small study, one of six adults dropped out with stomach symptoms after a large salt dose, and two more had milder ones (Fischer 2018, BHB salt study). Gram doses also raised blood sodium and lowered potassium (Stubbs 2017, Front Physiol).
If you take any prescribed medicine, including a GLP-1 medicine, keep taking it as directed. The label asks people on medicine to check with a professional first.

Minerals08
What do the sodium, calcium and magnesium lines on Jellutide mean?
They show how little mineral, and so how little BHB salt, each gummy holds. Each line rounds to 0% of the Daily Value.
Sodium citrate in the gummy base also adds sodium. So these lines set an upper limit, not an exact amount.
| Calcium 1 mg | At most about 6.1 mg of calcium BHB |
|---|---|
| Magnesium 0.75 mg | At most about 7.1 mg of magnesium BHB |
| Sodium 2.5 mg | At most about 13.7 mg of sodium BHB |

Where do BHB salts fit in the Jellutide formula?
BHB salts are the smaller of the two blend parts. Apple cider vinegar makes up most of the 525 mg.
The sales page names other ingredients that are not on the bottle; we follow the label. Read the apple cider vinegar profile or the full supplement facts.
FAQ10
BHB ketone salt questions
How much BHB is in Jellutide?
At most about 27 mg of BHB salts per gummy, or about 23 mg of BHB itself. The label hides the amount, so we worked it out from the calcium, magnesium and sodium lines. Sodium citrate adds sodium too, so the real figure is likely lower.
Do keto gummies with BHB work?
No trial shows that BHB gummies cause weight loss. Ketone salt studies used about 12 to 24 g per dose and saw only a brief, modest rise in blood ketones (Stubbs 2017, Front Physiol). Evidence on long-term use, including body weight, is limited (Falkenhain 2022, Adv Nutr).
Is Jellutide a keto pill?
Jellutide is a gummy, not a pill, and it contains a small amount of BHB ketone salts. It is often grouped with keto products, but one gummy holds milligrams of BHB, far below study doses, plus 2 g of carbohydrate from its sugar base.
Can BHB salts upset your stomach?
Yes, at gram doses. In a small study of a large BHB salt dose, one of six adults dropped out with stomach symptoms and two others had milder ones (Fischer 2018, BHB salt study). One Jellutide gummy holds only milligrams, so stomach trouble from the BHB is unlikely.
How do BHB salts differ from ketone esters?
BHB salts bind the ketone to a mineral such as sodium. Ketone esters are a different, non-salt form; in one study the salts were about half L-BHB, while the ester was over 99 percent D-BHB. In one study, an ester raised blood D-BHB to about 2.8 mM, while a salt reached about 1.0 mM and took longer (Stubbs 2017, Front Physiol).
Do BHB salts raise blood pressure?
We found no study of blood pressure at gummy doses. Gram doses of ketone salts deliver grams of sodium and raised blood sodium in one study (Stubbs 2017, Front Physiol). One Jellutide gummy lists only 2.5 mg of sodium. Ask your doctor if you limit salt.
