What is BHB?
BHB is beta-hydroxybutyrate, one of the ketone bodies. The body makes ketones as a fuel, and BHB is the main one in blood.
A supplement cannot be plain BHB acid, so makers bind it to a mineral. The result is a salt, such as calcium BHB, magnesium BHB or sodium BHB. Taken as a supplement, it is called an exogenous ketone, meaning a ketone from outside the body.

How much BHB do studies give people?
Grams, not milligrams. In one small study, 15 volunteers drank salt or ester drinks that gave about 12 or 24 g of BHB (Stubbs 2017, Front Physiol).
The salt drinks raised blood BHB to a peak of about 1.0 mM, and the peak came about twice as late as with an ester (Stubbs 2017, Front Physiol).
A gummy is a small, sweet, 2.5 g piece. It cannot hold grams of salt.

How much BHB is in one Jellutide gummy?
At most about 23 mg of BHB, inside at most about 27 mg of salts. The label hides the single amounts, which the rule allows (21 CFR 101.36).
The mineral lines set the cap. If every bit of the 1 mg of calcium, 0.75 mg of magnesium and 2.5 mg of sodium came from the salts, they would weigh about 6.1 + 7.1 + 13.7 mg. Sodium citrate in the base adds sodium too, so the real figure is lower. That leaves about 498 mg or more of the 525 mg for the vinegar.

Does BHB do anything in the body?
At gram doses, yes, but modestly. Blood ketones rise for a while. A review of 43 trials found a single dose of ketones lowered blood glucose a little (Falkenhain 2022, Adv Nutr).
The same authors found little evidence on taking ketones for weeks or months, so effects on body weight are not established (Falkenhain 2022, Adv Nutr). In a small study of a large salt dose, one of six adults dropped out with stomach symptoms (Fischer 2018, BHB salt study).

No. A keto diet is an eating pattern that is very low in carbohydrate. BHB is one molecule the body makes in that state. A BHB supplement supplies the molecule from outside, and it does not copy the diet.
What does the B in B-hydroxybutyrate stand for?
It is the Greek letter beta, and the Jellutide label prints it as a B. B-hydroxybutyrate on the bottle and beta-hydroxybutyrate in studies are the same compound, bound here to calcium, magnesium and sodium.
Why do BHB supplements contain minerals?
