Do BHB side effects depend on the dose?
Probably, and that is the point to watch. The effects above came from large doses: the salt drinks delivered 1.6 to 3.2 g of each mineral (Stubbs 2017, Front Physiol).
Fischer and colleagues could not rule out effects on acid-base balance. They say a BHB salt cannot be recommended unconditionally, because regular unsupervised excess use may cause adverse effects (Fischer 2018, BHB salt study).
A Jellutide gummy lists 1 mg of calcium, 0.75 mg of magnesium and 2.5 mg of sodium. Those are milligrams, not grams. No study has tested the gummy, so we cannot promise it is free of effects.

What other side effects can a BHB gummy have?
The BHB is the small part. The vinegar and sugar can matter more.
Vinegar is acidic and can irritate the throat and wear down tooth enamel. In large amounts it may lower potassium, especially with diuretics or insulin (Mayo Clinic, ACV for weight loss). Each gummy also has 2 g of sugars, 1 g of it added.

Can BHB cause diarrhea?
Stomach symptoms occurred in a small salt study at a large dose (Fischer 2018, BHB salt study). The report does not list which symptoms, so we will not name them. One gummy holds milligrams of salts, so it is a different situation.
Does BHB raise blood sodium?
At gram doses, yes: blood sodium rose in one study while potassium fell by 0.7 mM (Stubbs 2017, Front Physiol). One Jellutide gummy lists sodium 2.5 mg, but ask your doctor if you limit salt.
Is it safe to take BHB gummies every day?
The label directs one gummy a day, or as your professional directs. No long-term study of the gummy exists. Daily use is a question for your doctor, especially if you take medicine.
