Apple Cider Vinegar and Blood Sugar: After-Meal Evidence
Apple cider vinegar and blood sugar have been studied together, mostly at the table. In one small crossover study, vinegar eaten with white bread lowered the glucose and insulin rise after the meal at the highest dose. That dose was about 1.1 to 1.7 g of acetic acid, far more than a gummy likely holds.

Does apple cider vinegar lower blood sugar after a meal?
In one small study, vinegar with a starchy meal reduced the blood sugar rise after eating.
Twelve healthy volunteers ate white wheat bread alone or with vinegar. The highest vinegar dose lowered blood glucose at 30 and 45 minutes and insulin at 15 and 30 minutes (Ostman 2005, vinegar and satiety).
It was a single-meal study in healthy people. It was not a trial in people with diabetes, and it did not run for weeks.
How much vinegar did that study use?
The doses were 18, 23 and 28 mmol of acetic acid, about 1.1 to 1.7 g, taken with the bread (Ostman 2005, vinegar and satiety).
Only the top dose changed glucose and insulin significantly. Satiety also rose in step with the acetic acid level.

One Jellutide gummy holds a 525 mg blend in total. The label does not state its acetic acid, so we cannot place it on this scale. The whole blend weighs about half a gram.
Is there long-term evidence on vinegar and blood sugar?
Not strong evidence. A 2020 review of 13 human studies on apple vinegar looked at blood glucose and HbA1c, among other outcomes.
Its authors concluded the research was of inadequate quality and the evidence insufficient (Launholt 2020, Eur J Nutr). They called for larger, long-term trials.
Vinegar at gram doses with a meal showed an effect once. No study we cite shows that a vinegar gummy changes your blood sugar.

See packsWho should be careful with apple cider vinegar and blood sugar?
Anyone using insulin or other diabetes medicine should ask a healthcare professional first.
Mayo Clinic notes that apple cider vinegar may lower potassium, especially when combined with diuretics or insulin (Mayo Clinic, ACV for weight loss). The gummy dose is small, but the Jellutide label asks anyone under a physician's care or taking medicine to check before use.
Each gummy also carries 2 g of sugars, 1 g of it added, which counts if you track carbohydrates. Keep taking prescribed medicine, including any GLP-1 medicine, exactly as directed. See side effects for the full list.

FAQ01
Vinegar and glucose questions
Does vinegar before a meal work better than vinegar with it?
We cannot say. The meal study we cite gave vinegar with the bread, not before it (Ostman 2005, vinegar and satiety). The Jellutide label asks for the gummy about 30 minutes before a meal, and that timing has not been tested.
Can an ACV gummy replace diabetes medicine?
No. Never replace or skip prescribed medicine for a supplement. The vinegar meal study was small and short, and it involved healthy volunteers (Ostman 2005, vinegar and satiety). Talk to your doctor before adding any supplement.
How many carbs are in one Jellutide gummy?
One gummy lists 2 g of total carbohydrates, which include 2 g of total sugars and 1 g of added sugars. It also lists 8 calories. Check the Supplement Facts panel on the bottle that arrives.
